Job Title: Teacher of English as a Foreign
Language
One year contract
Reports to: Director, Sandra I. Morimoto
General Description:
Teaching English as a foreign language to
students ages 3 to adults. General duties include
daily preparation of lesson plans based on the school's curriculum and some
preparation of material for teaching. In addition to this, teachers are expected
to support the school in its annual Christmas Concert and biannual Summer camp
for the children's classes. Teachers are expected to prepare their classes
for the contest-like Christmas pageant and to offer ideas and full support to
the school for the children's Summer Camp.
Hours: 40 per
week; Monday ~ Friday or Tuesday~ Saturday, 1:30pm~9:30pm.
Teaching hours are 25~27/week

Golden Week ( this year 4/30~5/1; 5/4~5)
Summer Break ( this year it will be August 8~August 16)

Salary/Others:
Monthly salary: Highly
competitive
Special Events: Paid separately
Reimbursement of airfare up to ¥150,000
Half of the cost of health insurance during the SECOND year of employment
Accommodations:
Fully furnished apartment
located within walking distance from the school, at a cost of ¥60,000/month+
utilities. No deposit.

Desired Candidate Specifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in
English, Linguistics, Education, ESL/EFL or other related fields
Experience:
2~3yrs. teaching EFL/ESL to both children and adults
